We had an amazing time with Prerana and Darpan this past week!  I think they had a total of  7  pre-wedding events, including a really hip bridal shower at the Supper Club in Hollywood!  If you watch closely, you will see in the Pre-Wedding film below, Darpan gracefully descending form the ceiling towards his lovely bride to be.  Incredible stuff!  We created this film and showed it along with their beautiful Same Day Edit during their reception at The Terranea Resort We hope  you enjoy their Pre Wedding events and Same Day Edit.  Also, check out the whale we caught on film!

Q & A with Sheila and Nikhil

Q. How long did you date before you got engaged and how long were you engaged for?
A. We dated for about 1.5 years and were engaged for about a year.

Q. What was the story of the proposal?
A. Nikhil wanted to surprise me, but I had my suspicions that a proposal was afoot and was on high alert! So to keep the surprise, he woke me up in the morning and proposed first thing, then whisked me off to Las Vegas for a fun and romantic weekend. Awesome.

Q. What’s your favorite thing about being married?
A. Coming home to my best friend every single day.

Q. What are some of your favorite memories from your wedding day?
A. The first look. I’ll never forget the look on Nikhil’s face when I came around the corner and into view. Our entire photo shoot was a blast. Our first dance was also a major highlight- I knew my husband could dance, but he blew me and everyone else away!

Q. Why did you choose to hire a videographer?
A. We knew we’d be on a high that day and wanted to be able to relive the moments later.

Q. What is one thing you’d tell a couple to make sure they capture on video?
A. The first look. It’s just such a special moment. And some candid moments as well- there is so much joy and comedy on a wedding day, and it’s lovely to have that captured.

Q. What piece of advice would you tell a couple planning their wedding?
A. RELAX! Nobody will notice the tiny details except for you. The most important thing is to have fun and share your joy, and you’ll do that anyway.

Q. In a few words, share with future newlyweds some marriage wisdom?
A. Just have fun!

Ellen and Yao // Feature Film // Huntington Beach Hyatt // OC Wedding Cinematography

One of the groomsman in Ellen and Yao’s wedding said in his toast: “a lot of people say that the secret to a happy marriage is love and trust,” he said: “it is not just about that, but about having fun together and just being silly.”  This Feature Film of Ellen and Yao’s special day is testament to his toast. It’s full of not only seriousness where seriousness is appropriate, but they know how to cut loose and actually have fun together and be silly.  There are some epic beach shots in this one as well! We love this Feature Film!!!
